Tasted, And Partook

posted by PrayerWarrior

What do these words mean? To taste, is to sample, to put some in your mouth. I like this one too, to perceive in any way. So that to me says tried! Partake, to take or have a part in; share. So to taste the Lord and to partake pretty much says you were a part of the Holy Spirit. To have been enlightened is, to give intellectual or spiritual light to; instruct; impart knowledge to:

In the Word we are told in Hebrews 6: 4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

Let’s really break this down, because I want everyone to understand that this is no joke here, this is a very serious, and very important thing to understand.

You cannot partake of the Holy Spirit, unless you were under Him, in Him, or immersed in Him. You cannot have tasted God and the gifts of the Holy Spirit, if you are not truly His. These are not given to those who are not truly saved.

You cannot be apostate unless you were truly in Him! Look also at John 15:1-8 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

So if we do not stay attached to the vine which is Jesus Christ we wither and die and are only good for the fire. That speaks of walking away. One cannot sin willfully after having received forgiveness of sins and then expect to go to heaven.

2 peter 2:20-22 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.”

The word is showing us over and over again our conditional salvation. Romans 5:9-10 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. Or if we die in Him and go to heaven.

look also at Matt 7:21-23, 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

How can someone who is not a partaker of the Holy Spirit cast out demons and or prophecy? Jesus Himself said satan cannot or will not cast out a demon as that would be fighting against himself. Only those who have the Holy Spirit can prophesy or cast out demons so they had to have known Him and truly been in the Spirit for them to do those things!

Also notice Jesus did not deny that they did such, He told them they practice lawlessness. it is now worse for them than had they not known Him at all.

What no one seems to understand is the churches get judged first it is not exactly churches, it is the spirit of that particular sect of the Ekklesia, the body the chosen elect ones, (us the body of the Lord), that gets judged first, and if you are of the body you are a Christian! But they are going to be kicked out of the body, because they will not repent.
I don’t know why many people choose to overlook this, the judgement of the body comes before the judgement’s against the world, the ones who do not serve the Lord, those who have chosen against Jesus! Then those who were and have been in the body of believers, but for some reason lost their way, and they refuse to repent of their sins.

Study the first 3 chapters of Revelation seriously deeply, and see what Jesus is saying to those churches? These are not past tense churches, they did exist in a physical location before. They now do not have a physical location or area of the globe, now these churches exist in the spirit. Revelation has not begun just yet. I mean who knows I do believe the body is being judged right now.

The body is going to lose some members. How can we think one can not walk away from the promise when it has been done before? And God is never changing?
God has not changed one thing about Himself and who and what He is and is about.
The whole of everything was designed by Him He knows everything and shows us and tells us over and over again He does not change.

He knows when time would begin and time would end. He saw and knew our every moment, from before the foundations of the earth. He knows our death date and how we are going to die. He knows and knew long before He even made the world everything that would transpire.

He knows who chose Him, and He loved them unconditionally and they walked away from it, just like the devils or demons did, and just like the Israelites who were killed by the Lord our God, before reaching the promised land! People are still free to leave Him. He says He would not be the one to leave us! Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

He will never leave nor forsake us, but that does not mean people wont and haven’t forsaken Him. How can anyone think that God has changed in this aspect, even though we are under grace, people just like angels and in the OT, still choose to walk away from Him.

I cannot fathom that myself, even if one backslides a bit they are always forgiven upon repentance, and taken back into the fold. A name does not get blotted out just like that, it takes a lot to not be given another chance. God knows who is going to, and who will not stay His.

I could easily speak on the book of Revelation but no I am talking about judgment and no such thing as once saved always saved. The promises of God are conditional, all of them, they have always been. The condition is you stay in Him no matter what. Even if it means death.

Once saved always saved is not a fact unless one walks non stop in Him. But those who walk away, have at one time, walked with Him in Him and had the gifts they were true Christians. Anyone at any time can choose to walk away it is still free will. I cannot myself fathom a moment in life without Him, but that’s me and obviously you but to say people can never lose their salvation is just wrong. God does not stop loving no matter what, but just because He loves us no end, does not mean He will hold us, against our will, to Him.

Why would we be told to work out our OWN salvation with fear and trembling? Because we could easily walk away from Him. We could get carried away by the cares of the world! We must remain humble and contrite. There are many who served the Lord with everything they have, at one time, but many of them walked away.

The Lord, He told me a while back, 1 Cor 5:6, Gal 5:9 a little leaven, leavens the whole lump. What man teaches wrong and believes wrong, colors their thinking as to the truth of the Lord.

We are going to go through insane hell for one purpose! To show us rather we are devoted to the Lord or not! God knows who is and who is not His, but we do not even know that ourselves! When it comes down to insane testing, even painful testing, He knows, who will and who will not remain in Him. But He wants that each of us would in fact know for ourselves, truly if we are 100% in Him. He does not want slackers.

Fiery trials are for our good to make us even stronger in our trust of God, we better expect to go through the mill and then back through it. As Paul says in Acts 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

What are we heading for after the tribulation? the millennial Kingdom!! So through MUCH tribulation we must enter it, and still stay in Him. For these temporary afflictions, reap for us an amazing reward we cannot even fathom in the end. Many will find the cost entirely too much to bear, and fall away. True Christians, no less!

It is only the church of the day that says stop being militant! We are soldiers in the Lord’s army we must be diligently about the fathers works. As we see in James, faith without works is dead!! It is not just crowns that will be taken away from us, it is the promises of the Father if we do not keep on doing our part until we die! We are to be about speaking truth no matter the cost to us and it is (the cost) heavy at all times

Our own families turn against us but we are not concerned by that, for the one reason that Jesus said, it would happen and we would be hated by the world for speaking and being in the truth. We are soldiers in the Lord’s army and are going to be crusading throughout the world, those who are mentally emotionally spiritually and physically able to withstand and persevere, in the worst times the world has ever seen. Evil walking among us, with us.

They tell us we are haters, no we are not, we love and so we do not want to see anyone go to hell, not anyone, so we keep speaking truth and exposing liars. People have got to know the truth. Lies and following them blindly, or knowingly even, gets one hell. Jesus is truth and we have to know Him and all of the truth, that is knowing Him.
I am passionate about the truth. It is my life and the Life in the Lord, is knowing who and what is not of God at all times, and making others aware of it with truth.

So people who promote pre tribulation rapture and people who tell people no no you cannot lose your salvation are liars. That is heretical, and it is something that must be exposed. And then most people just say you are judgmental, that is not judging that is showing them with the bible, the scriptures that prove we must be busy working occupying until He comes. Not with the next church social crap or gimmick of the church. But with real repentant revivals.

This country this whole world is a complete wreck and we can know all the truth of the word of God, Because the Holy Spirit does not lie so we study the word diligently and do not for one moment allow someone to speak lies to us when the Holy Spirit has spoken the truth to us through the word of God. That is why if i do not agree with someone i do not go to their church.

The Lord gave me Ezekiel 34 not long ago! read it and understand. Then look at other countries Christianity, and see most of their Christianity is real and deep God is all they have, and still they cling to the cross. They are being beheaded for their faith, right now.

2 Pet 2:4-11 For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; 5 and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; 6 and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly;

7 and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked 8 (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)— 9 then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, 10 and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries, 11 whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord.

The Lord is so good but He is not going to look the other way when one sins. I submit to you the truth that God is never changing. No I have heard so many many Christians claim they know this truth, then explain how we are no longer under the Lord of the Old testament just because Jesus came.

We can see without question this is not true. God has not changed how He deals with anyone since the angels chose satan over Him He has always dealt the same way. People are lower than the angels, He did not put up with angels departing and disobedience, He will not put up with people doing so either. Let’s look at Ezekiel 18:24 “But when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? All the righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; because of the unfaithfulness of which he is guilty and the sin which he has committed, because of them he shall die.

25 “Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ Hear now, O house of Israel, is it not My way which is fair, and your ways which are not fair? 26 When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, commits iniquity, and dies in it, it is because of the iniquity which he has done that he dies. 27 Again, when a wicked man turns away from the wickedness which he committed, and does what is lawful and right, he preserves himself alive.

28 Because he considers and turns away from all the transgressions which he committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 29 Yet the house of Israel says, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ O house of Israel, is it not My ways which are fair, and your ways which are not fair?

30 “Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways,” says the Lord God. “Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin. 31 Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel? 32 For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord God. “Therefore turn and live!”

Now i want you all to think about this as well. We who come to the Lord through Christ are now joint heirs with Abraham! Understand one who accepts Christ is truly a chosen elect one. No ones comes to the Lord our God Lest the Lord calls them! Galatians 3:29

Then let’s look at Ezekiel 33, and see what it says in there. I want to lay a little ground work here first to make sure people understand. We who work in the Lord and do His will and warn people, are doing what the Lord tells us to do. That is to be watchmen to watch and in Ezekiel 33 the Lord explains concisely to Ezekiel that if he does not warn of danger, anyone who is lost, and not warned by the watchmen first, their blood is on their heads.

I dearly love the two chapters of Ezekiel 33 and 34. 34 is all about shepherds who do not lead the Lord’s sheep but instead take advantage of and harm in all their greed. And that the Lord Himself will care for His own and be their shepherd the only one they need.

Back to EZ 33. 12 “Therefore you, O son of man, say to the children of your people: ‘The righteousness of the righteous man shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression; as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall because of it in the day that he turns from his wickedness; nor shall the righteous be able to live because of his righteousness in the day that he sins.’ 13 When I say to the righteous that he shall surely live, but he trusts in his own righteousness and commits iniquity, none of his righteous works shall be remembered; but because of the iniquity that he has committed, he shall die.

14 Again, when I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ if he turns from his sin and does what is lawful and right, 15 if the wicked restores the pledge, gives back what he has stolen, and walks in the statutes of life without committing iniquity, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 16 None of his sins which he has committed shall be remembered against him; he has done what is lawful and right; he shall surely live.

17 “Yet the children of your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ But it is their way which is not fair! 18 When the righteous turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, he shall die because of it. 19 But when the wicked turns from his wickedness and does what is lawful and right, he shall live because of it. 20 Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ O house of Israel, I will judge every one of you according to his own ways.”

Now keeping in mind at all times that God is never changing, not ever, not in who He is, and not in how He deals with the people of the world. Those who are His, and those who are not, how can anyone then convince themselves, that the Lord has changed one drip drop of Himself? I tell you He has not changed, and it is people tickling itching ears. Better yet it is satan saying that same old tired line, that got Eve at the start of time. Surely you won’t die!

A New Commandment I Give You!

posted by PrayerWarrior

34But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. 35Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Matt. 22:34-40.

With human relations declining throughout the planet, and anger and hatred taking over completely, it is so very hard to love anyone anymore. Yet if we lose the love, we have lost our own salvation. The Loving God part for me anyway comes easy. We who have been freed from much bondage and sin and who have been forgiven much can honestly love the Lord with every part of our being. The issues come in when we have to love the unlovable people of this world.

Yet the Lord expects us to seek His heart for others, and to love them as we love ourselves. How do we do this in a world growing more and more hateful by the day? We give it to God fully and completely! Let’s look at how much Love is spoken of in the NT. Quite often, and Jesus said in John 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

1 John 4:19 We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Love is the most important commandment, it is the only one according to Jesus. Everything thatis done in love cannot fail. Love does not seek it’s own, it does not boast, it does not hurt anyone in anyway. It says in 1 Pet 4:8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

Jesus says in Matt 24:9-14 9 “Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers. 10 And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. 11 And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. 12 Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 14 And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.

Let’s talk about verse 12. In the KJV it says because iniquity will abound, the love of many grows cold. That friends is apostasy! If we lose the love, we are as nothing. We are good only for the fire, we have turned from fruitful into waste. In John chp 15 we read of the vine being cut off and thrown in the fire, if it bears no fruit, it is only good for the fire. It also describes the apostles as the branches and we are included in that!
John chpt 13 it says By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

1 John 4:20 says If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? John 13:35 says “We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death”.See not loving is apostate. We must maintain no matter what we go through the Love. If we lose the love we have lost everything and all our past goodnees and or righteous deeds have come to naught.

Paul says, “owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ ‘You shall not covet,’ and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.” (Romans 13:8-10) Pretty clear on that score. Love does not wrong to anyone at any time.

Jesus said in Luke chpt 6:30-36 “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” principle. He says, “Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise. But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.”

That set of verses covers a lot of territory. If we love we will go that extra mile to show the love. Imagine you borrow from someone and they give you much more than you asked for, then tell you you owe me nothing! I never want you to try and pay me back! Your head would nearly spin off your neck at such a thing. Especially in this day and age when everyone is out for what more they can get out of each other, this is unheard of.Yet it is something we should regularly be practicing. I am not talking about giving everything you have unless of course you have the faith to believe the Lord will cover you, much more than you gave.

Of course we must be doing according to the will of God as well. But we know the will of God is to love even our enemies in this way. When he said if one slap you in the face turn your cheek and present it too to your enemy. Also if one takes your coat give them your sweater too! No this is so not easy a thing to do. We are incensed at such a thing occurring. We would be absolutely flabbergasted for someone to steal our coat right off us. The last thing we would be thinking is here take my sweater too.

We would be thinking, you are so lucky I don’t grab you and beat you!! But now turn it around and think how that thief would feel like hell came down on their head, if you turned and smiled at them and said oh here have my sweater too! They would think you went nuts and they would certainly think twice about walking off with your coat and sweater. They would be heaping coals on their own head. They would be so astounded I think they would give you your coat back and walk off wondering what just happened?

How many of us do such things? How many of us think only of ourselves and our own comfort? I know I sure do. But in learning and growing in the Lord, I pray that should such ever occur, I would do the noble thing and think to myself instead of you creepy jerk! Wow the need that prompted such an action as steaing my coat right off my back, deserves to be met. Here take my coat and here is my sweater for anyone who is with you, suffering with you. Then bring them to a shop and get them lunch as well. Can you imagine that soul being won for the Lord? I sure could! So now I pray Lord help me to be blessed enough to be such a blessing to others.

Father help me to love as you love. Lord help me to see the need behind the foul actions rather than looking at the outer, help me see the inner turmoil that has caused one to do things not of the norm. Let’s think of what 1 Corinthians 13 says, if we have all the gifts of the spirit but have no love we are as a sounding brass. Meaning we are nothingbecause if there is no love then God is not in you. if there is no love you are apostate or were never his to begin with. It is getting harder and harder to love in this crazy cruel world. The sorrow to be found on a daily basis makes one shudder.

The news is filled with horrible things going on all over the world. Each moment of every day there are things being reported by the media main stream and Christian, as well as not so known news outlet’s. These are designed by the enemy to rob us of the Love of the compassion and empathy needed to maintain and remain in love. By hearing all these things seeing pictures and videos of these things going on, we become complacent and apathetic. We become desensitized to them, as they are shown often. So that we stand on the side lines and say and do nothing anymore.

Love treads where fools refuse to go. We as lovers of God and each other must stand up. We must speak and contend for truth. We must argue out of love for truth. We must make known the things of God and especially the love of God. We must be examples of the exemplary love of God at all times at all costs. I know arguing does not sound like it is right. But when we aretalking about false teachings and false beliefs it is our duty to prove the word of God to those who are lost and or not understanding. We must always contend for the truth. it is so important to believe in the Lord in truth and spirit.

In closing I pray that the Lord will help you to see what is pure true love the kind of love we all dream of being and doing. I pray the Lord open each of our eyes but especially our hearts to true deep abiding love no matter what happens. Because if we lose the love then we have lost the race, and there is no second place we must be first! As it gets harder and harder to stay in love with God andeach other, may the Lord fill us with compassion and empathy to just keep on going in Him. He who endures till the end shall be saved. That is enduring in love come what may. I pray the Lord fills us each with strength to be doers of the word and not hearers only.

Blessings in Christ Jesus,
Tammy

Lot Was A Righteous Man!

posted by PrayerWarrior

You know it vexes me no end that people think Lot was saved only to please Abraham. Lot was a righteous man we are told in Peter. Lot did not partake of the immorality of Sodom and Gomorrah. He was vexed by their sins and their disgusting way of life. So He lived among the heathen and the depraved, we do too! Look here is the meaning of vex = [veks] verb 1.to irritate; annoy; provoke: His noisy neighbors often vexed him. 2.to torment; trouble; distress; plague; worry: Lack of money vexes many. 3.to discuss or debate (a subject, question, etc.) with vigor or at great length: to vex a question endlessly without agreeing. 4.to disturb by motion; stir up; toss about. 5.to afflict with physical pain.

I imagine Lot standing in the door way of his house looking at all going on in and around the town he lived in, shaking his head in consternation, much like we ourselves do at all that is going on around us.. Look he was a business man he was wealthy and prosperous. And what does anyone care where their money comes from? Being a business owner, I do not care if the people who patronize my business are sinners or saved, I will take all their money for services rendered. Of course I enjoy those people who are the Lords and who come and visit, but they are treated no differently than anyone else. Besides which, I never know whose mind might be changed from sinner to saint, by my loving them.

Let’s just reason together and study the life of Lot, in Genesis it does not say too much, but let’s see what the Lord would show us, and have us know. Gen 12:4-5 4 So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. 5 Then Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they came to the land of Canaan. (So let’s then look at this, the Lord told Abram to leave his fathers land and go to the land the Lord would show him. He took lot with him. Does not say anything as of yet about righteous or not.)

Abram at this time was coming upon the land of Egypt and knowing his wife Sarai was stunningly beautiful he was sure that the king or the men of Egypt, would have him killed to take his wife as their own. Abram lied, Yet Abram was righteous! Think of David and his adultery, as well as then having the man killed to hide his perfidy, yet the Lord called him (David) a man after the Lords own heart. You sin I sin we all sin, but the difference is we ask forgiveness. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone, you can’t and neither can I.

Gen 13:1-4 Then Abram went up from Egypt, he and his wife and all that he had, and Lot with him, to the South.2 Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold. 3 And he went on his journey from the South as far as Bethel, to the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Ai, 4 to the place of the altar which he had made there at first. And there Abram called on the name of the Lord. 5-7 Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks and herds and tents. 6 Now the land was not able to support them, that they might dwell together, for their possessions were so great that they could not dwell together. 7 And there was strife between the herdsmen of Abram’s livestock and the herdsmen of Lot’s livestock. The Canaanites and the Perizzites then dwelt in the land. So there was strife between abrams men and Lot’s but none between Abram and Lot, they reasoned together to work this out no anger no hard feelings.

Gen 13:8 So Abram said to Lot, “Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren. 9 Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me. If you take the left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left.” 10 And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar. 11 Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other. 12 Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent even as far as Sodom. 13 But the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinful against the Lord. (Still though it mentions that the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked, still no mention of Lot being a sinner or anything of the sort.)

Gen 14 speaks of Lot being kidnapped and held prisoner, and Abram goes and rescues Lot. Still no mention at all of Lot being bad, as a matter of fact the kings that won this war against Sodom and Gomorrah took all of Lot’s goods live stock and everything he owned.11 Then they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their provisions, and went their way.12 They also took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed. 14:14 Now when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his three hundred and eighteen trained servants who were born in his own house, and went in pursuit as far as Dan. 15 He divided his forces against them by night, and he and his servants attacked them and pursued them as far as Hobah, which is north of Damascus. 16 So he brought back all the goods, and also brought back his brother Lot and his goods, as well as the women and the people.

Look at that huh? Abram had 318 trained servants, not soldiers and they defeated the 5 kingsand all their men, who had just won out against four kings. NICE! Nothing more is mentioned of Lot for a little while till chapter 19. In chapter 18 the Lord who had just visited with Abraham was thinking within Himself that He would and should share with Abraham that He was there on a mission to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. For the wickedness of it was so great, that the cries coming from within it, reached heaven. I do honestly believe it was the Holy Spirit visiting with Abraham for we know men cannot live upon seeing the Lord our God. Chapter 19 is where we see Lot mentioned again.let’s then read the story and see if you can see where Lot might have shown himself to be a wicked and or sin filled man.

Gen 19:1-4 Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them,he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground. 2 And he said, “Here now, my lords, please turn in to your servant’s house and spend the night, and wash your feet; then you may rise early and go on your way.”And they said, “No, but we will spend the night in the open square.” 3 But he insisted strongly; so they turned in to him and entered his house. Then he made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate. 4 Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. 5 And they called to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally.” Lot then offers his two daughters up instead of the Lord’s host.

This was not a sin it makes no mention of Lot being a sinner or doing anything wrong he was making a major and bold offer. Though I am sure he did hope in his heart, these disgusting vile men would not accept this offer. Would we not do something similar in order to protect these which we knew were glowing glorious beings from the Lord? Let’s go on. 6 So Lot went out to them through the doorway, shut the door behind him, 7 and said, “Please, my brethren, do not do so wickedly! 8 See now, I have two daughters who have not known a man; please, let me bring them out to you, and you may do to them as you wish; only do nothing to these men, since this is the reason they have come under the shadow of my roof.” (Not to mention there was no law as of yet. Morals were inbred in people and if they acted against that then it was sin. The Lord built us with morals from the beginning.)

9 And they said, “Stand back!” Then they said, “This one came in to stay here, and he keeps acting as a judge; now we will deal worse with you than with them.” (They called Lot a judgmental jerk in essence in these verses. They then wanted to do some serious damage to Lot, but the angels who were there struck those men blind after ripping Lot into the house with them. Lot was sure he was doing right by the Lord and the Lord certainly did more than right in His dealings with Lot.) So they pressed hard against the man Lot, and came near to break down the door. 10 But the men reached out their hands and pulled Lot into the house with them, and shut the door. 11 And they struck the men who were at the doorway of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they became weary trying to find the door.

12 Then the men said to Lot, “Have you anyone else here? Son-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whomever you have in the city—take them out of this place! 13 For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the Lord, and the Lord has sent us to destroy it.”14 So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said, “Get up, get out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city!” But to his sons-in-law he seemed to be joking. 15 When the morning dawned, the angels urged Lot to hurry, saying, “Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumed in the punishment of the city.” 16 And while he lingered, the men took hold of his hand, his wife’s hand, and the hands of his two daughters, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city. I can only guess that Lot was thinking of all he owned as well as his other daughters and everything going to be utterly and completely lost to him, which is why the angels had to actually grab his hand and pull him into action.

17 So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.” 18 Then Lot said to them, “Please, no, my lords! 19 Indeed now, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have increased your mercy which you have shown me by saving my life; but I cannot escape to the mountains, lest some evil overtake me and I die. 20 See now, this city is near enough to flee to, and it is a little one; please let me escape there (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.” 21 And he said to him, “See, I have favored you concerning this thing also, in that I will not overthrow this city for which you have spoken. 22 Hurry, escape there. For I cannot do anything until you arrive there.” (Here now is where it get’s interesting. The Lord would not ever save an unrighteous man. He never has before.)

23 The sun had risen upon the earth when Lot entered Zoar. 24 Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens. 25 So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground. 26 But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. She must have looked back with longing for her life that she was leaving behind, not to mention her children who were going to be destroyed due to their lack of trusting their father and or father in-law. The fact that Lot’s wife was disobedient to what she was told straight up, do not look back, cannot be missed in this as well. Disobedience is death brothers and sisters. To fool yourselves into believing that God does not expect perfect obedience is pure folly on anyone’s part. Jesus mentions something to this effect in Luke 14:33, So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

27 And Abraham went early in the morning to the place where he had stood before the Lord. 28 Then he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain; and he saw, and behold, the smoke of the land which went up like the smoke of a furnace. 29 And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when He overthrew the cities in which Lot had dwelt. (Now here is where people get all self righteous and hypocritical is in the rest of Lot’s story. In chapter 19 we see what became of Lot and his two daughters.) 30 Then Lot went up out of Zoar and dwelt in the mountains, and his two daughters were with him; for he was afraid to dwell in Zoar. And he and his two daughters dwelt in a cave. 31 Now the firstborn said to the younger, “Our father is old, and there is no man on the earth to come in to us as is the custom of all the earth. So they devised a plan. This was not Lot’s plan, and nowhere does it say that He sinned or did anything against the Lord.

32 Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve the lineage of our father.” 33 So they made their father drink wine that night. (Now think on this for a moment, the man had lost all he had everything he owned he was now poor and destitute, his wife became a pillar of salt.He lost his other children, this is how his daughters would have been able to have him drink wine. I can only imagine they were cajoling, come father no more crying just drink some wine to make you forget for a little while that you may rest.) And the firstborn went in and lay with her father, and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose.34 It happened on the next day that the firstborn said to the younger, “Indeed I lay with my father last night; let us make him drink wine tonight also, and you go in and lie with him, that we may preserve the lineage of our father.”35 Then they made their father drink wine that night also. And the younger arose and lay with him, and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose. He had no clue what happened. And though I do not want to sound like a broken record there were no laws at that time. How could Lot be breaking laws if there wre none?

Another fact I want to bring up is this, Abraham married his half sister. Same father different mother.19:36 Thus both the daughters of Lot were with child by their father. 37 The firstborn bore a son and called his name Moab; he is the father of the Moabites to this day. 38 And the younger, she also bore a son and called his name Ben-Ammi; he is the father of the people of Ammon to this day. If anyone sinned in this it was the two daughters. They produced sons both of them who became rulers and their ancestors still to this day rule the lands they had taken as their own. (Ammon is the capitol city of Jordan in our modern day, and Moab is also in Jordan. Now think on these verses by Peter whom the Holy Spirit filled with knowledge and wisdom, as well as remembrance for all that Jesus told the Apostles.)

2 Peter 2:4-11 For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; 5 and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; 6 and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; 7 and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked 8 (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)—9 then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, 10 and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries, 11 whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord. Let’s see God did not spare anyone who was immoral and unrighteous. No God will not ever save anyone for anyone else’s sake.

This clearly spells out if you are not living for the Lord, working your best for Him, and trying with all you have not to sin, you are doomed! The angels who are so much higher than we are I mean they are in the very presence of God Himself were not spared for their siding with satan, what makes you lowly human think he will spare you? Grace sets us free from bondage of sin but if you go back to it you have re-enslaved yourself. Your name will be blotted out of the book. Lot was a righteous man to say he was not and the Lord saved him anyway is pure garbage and has no part of it in the truth. God will not ever esteem any man above Himself. God knows us better than we know ourselves, and knows humans only see what He has found it good to show them. Now you will not lose your salvation if you repent of your sins, but repentance is an ongoing thing through out our lives. The Holy Spirit will clearly show us what we are doing wrong, he will sear your conscience, to bring you to the realization that this is not acceptable. It is when you just keep sinning and vex the Holy Spirit that you will once for all time lose your salvation.

God knows us as I said, better than we know ourselves, you cannot fool the Lord. When I am having a hard time with something then I cry out to the Lord, help me see Lord the error that is causing me to put doors in between us, and He does. We must continually as long as we sin ask forgiveness. Nothing with the Lord is taken for granted though He knows your thoughts and will most times answer before you ask, He still expects you to ask. It is the same with forgiveness, you must always ask for it no matter how much you have sinned, or how little it is always best as Jesus said, to ask forgiveness when He told the disciples of the perfect prayer that was one of the things He said was good to pray. In Fact He quantifies that part in the verse right after the perfect prayer, Look here at Matthew 6 verses 9-15.

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Then you can also look at the parable of the servant who was forgiven his debts and then went out and gave hell to one who owed him. Then all he had was taken from him and he was thrown into prison, never to be forgiven again, Matthew 18:21-35. Look people when thinking to yourself is this sin or not well all you have to do is compare it to love, does love think this, does love look at this, does love feel this, does love do this? If the answer is no then if you do it that is sin. Love is now what we measure sin against. Let’s not forget love covers a multitude of sin. 1 Peter 4:8.

If you love you will not cheat, steal, lie, be jealous of, you will not kill, nor blaspheme, you will not spread around rumors or gossip. As the time get’s closer and closer for the tribulation we are going to find loving so much the harder, we will be vexed like Lot was on all sides. We are all vexed as it is, and it is just going to get worse and worse, if we lose the Love we have lost the salvation, given it up, passed it out of our grasp or understanding. We must measure our every thought word and deed by the measure of love. If love would not do it then you had better not do it either. Lot would have been persecuted to death had the angels not grabbed him out of that angry mob. They were horribly angry with Lot because he judged them all the time, they said it not me! Lot was a righteous man, He loved the Lord so much that he was willing to sacrifice his two daughters to the men of S&G, in order to save the messengers of God. He recognized their perfection and bowed low to them as did Abraham. Sinners do not recognize that, and would not bow humbly down before the workers of the Lord. We are now in what can be called the pre tribulation period. Do not be surprised at the painful ordeals we are going to go through, and even expect and praise the Lord for the trials He will bring on you before the tribulation, to build you into a fruitful child of God.

Do not look to your brother sister friend, mother father, nor your spouse to help you understand what comes upon us all. The relationship between you and the Lord is a very personal one. In fact you can call it a customized relationship, because the Lord knows how to speak to you, to help you understand in the very best way. He has preparation in mind for you. It is all in His word and then there is the outside of the bible knowledge that He pours upon your heart that let’s you know what is coming. He is so faithful and so worthy of praise and honor. When you trust Him in anything, He will show you over and over again why it is good to trust in Him. To believe that Lot was not righteous and the Lord saved Him anyway, I have to ask what God is it you believe in? Because the God of the bible has never and will never save someone who is not righteous. Let me help ingrain this thought in your mind. He sent a piece of Himself to this earth to live as a man, He humbled Himself in the form of a man and came to this earth to save us and bring us back to Himself.

He sent Jesus to die and when Jesus was in process of dying for our sins, taking our place, paying the price of it, God the Father, turned away from His own son, His own self, that is how much He can not look upon sin. He sent Himself the piece of His human self, to hell to pay the price for becoming sin, but Jesus was victorious and was raised from the dead, taking the keys of hell with Him to have dominion over it forever more. If He did not spare Jesus in becoming our sin, why would He spare you?

Love in Christ Jesus, Tammy

God’s Purpose For Us Going Through The Tribulation

posted by PrayerWarrior

Time and again I hear those who believe they will not go through the tribulation say but why would God ever put us through the tribulation? He is a loving God! Yes He certainly is a loving God but He is also a just God and the judge and He chastens those He loves. He grows us and prunes us through trials and tribulations. He purifies us and builds us and brings us from glory to glory. He is making us into the very image of His son and if his son Jesus had to go through trials and tribulations and through the very furnace of affliction, what makes you lowly human, believe that you in your finite body and finite mind, will not go through the same?

Listen, we are all so very fragile in our trust of the Lord. We still get angry we still sin we still make people stumble we make ourselves stumble. No God is looking for a bride who is pure and chaste for His son. He is looking for a body who is one in mind and purpose. John tells us, he who says he is without sin is a liar, and the truth is not in him, 1 John 1:8. But let us allow the word of God to show us clearly about the tribulation we will go through and how only if we endure till Jesus comes, at the very end I might add, will we be saved.

Now I know you’re thinking yourself clever, in thinking yeah well what about those who die before it? Well that just means they have already been through a lot and look at 1 Peter 4:1. Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; So let us think about that for a mere moment. If you suffer in your flesh you cease from sinning. God wants us to be purified chastened and made perfect and Holy, he does not want a dirty sinner filled with pride and self-importance to be given to His son. I think personally it is the height of pride to think one’s self so wonderful and such a good Christian that they do not deserve to go through tribulation.

We all have hang ups and get angry and get insulted and offended and we become offensive and defensive in many ways. As Samuel Clemens or as you know him, Mark Twain said one hardly deals in truth when dealing with one’s self. I find so often the very truth of that statement. I personally dig deep to see if I am lying to myself in anyway. More often than not I find that yup I am in some small way, and then I repent of it. Liars ALL have their place in the lake of fire. Revelation 21:8. I find it so ridiculous that some sects of Christianity believe they can lie cheat steal, and commit all manner of sins, and they are still under grace. You are fallen!

Trials and tribulations can be a test of our love. They can reveal whom or what we love most in our lives. They reveal our priorities and wishes. The Lord wants us to love Him more than anybody else or anything else. The depth of our love for God is revealed during the times of trials. The Lord also wants us to love our fellowmen which includes even our enemies. Therefore trials and tribulations test our love towards God and our fellowmen. But let us begin with the many sets of verses that tell the story of our very own coming tribulation and God’s purpose in it.

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ”? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, for thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”, Romans 8:35-39.

Now I want you all to notice something in this set of verses God never says once in here that you won’t lose your salvation, Love is not salvation! God loves us and the entire world, but He will not accept anyone who tries to sneak in a side door or bypass the son. He will not accept sin filled filthy people in His presence. He is too holy to look upon sin. Jesus when He not only took on our sin, but became that very sin cried out, My God, My God why hast thou forsaken me? He was that close with Him because He is one with Him. He felt the Father turn away from Him. Why, not because God stopped loving Him, but because God cannot look upon sin. The prophet Isaiah wrote, “Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear” (59:1-2). Sin cuts one off from God.

“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? Do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? Do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 4 :44-48

“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. ” I Corinthians 13: 4-7. Trials and tribulation also test our faith. . Do we believe in God even in the midst of pain and suffering? Do we believe in the promises of God even when everything looks impossible? Do we trust in God even if He does not deliver us? Do we trust in God even when we do not understand His ways and workings in our lives? The depth of our faith in God is revealed during times of trials and tribulations.

“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith— of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire— may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honour when Jesus Christ is revealed.” I Peter 1:6-7. When is this going to show up well for us? That is when Jesus is revealed, and that is only at the end, on the very last day no less.

“Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, so shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform, Romans 4:16-21.

“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.” Daniel 3:16-18. “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. …” Job 13:15. This here set of verses we know these three men of God were being thrown into the fieriest trials one could even imagine. Yet they showed no fear they trusted the Lord. Throughout the old and new testaments, we see people going through hellish trials, why do you oh silly Americans, think yourself of better repute than all they? I cannot think of myself as any other than I am, a very human human being.

Trials and tribulations can be a test of our obedience to God. Are we willing to obey God even when He commands us to do what we do not like or what we want to avoid? The Lord teaches us obedience by leading us through the path of trials and tribulations. It is the narrow path my friends and that is a very hard path! Matthew 7: 13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

“Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; ” Hebrews 5: 7-8 ” And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Matthew 26:39

“Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble you and to test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD……He led you through the vast and dreadful desert, that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock. He gave you manna to eat in the desert, something your fathers had never known, to humble and to test you so that in the end it might go well with you.” Deuteronomy 8:2-3, 15-16.

Listen folks God is never changing and if he killed body and soul of those Israelites that complained and moaned and bewailed all the Lord had done for them, and looked back at their life of slavery as though it were better than the freedom the Lord set them to? What makes you think the Lord will look past your continued sin? Please really consider this in your heart, pray about it, call upon the Lord to reveal that very painful truth to you. He will, I promise!

“And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son. Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” Hebrews 12:5-11.

At times the Lord tests us by asking us to sacrifice things people or whatever it may be, to show how willing we are to do those painful things. He checks to see if we are willing to sacrifice for our love of God. Look at “If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters— yes, even his own life— he cannot be my disciple. And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple……….In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple.” Luke 14:26-33

“Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, Abraham! Here I am, he replied. Then God said, Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about….When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. But the angel of the LORD called out to him from heaven, Abraham! Abraham! Here I am, he replied. Do not lay a hand on the boy, he said. Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.

Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided. The angel of the LORD called to Abraham from heaven a second time and said, I swear by myself, declares the LORD, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.” Genesis 22:1-18.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor. “John 12:24-26. “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20″But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world”. Galatians 6:14.

One of the hardest aspects of being a Christian is humbling ourselves. Sometimes the Lord put’s us through trials and tribulations to humble us. Look at these verses! 1Corinthians 12:7-10
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:5-11.

We are tested for endurance sake, as per these verses. “He sent a man before them– Joseph–who was sold as a slave. They hurt his feet with fetters, He was laid in irons. Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the LORD tested him. Psalms 105:17-19. “All these are the beginning of sorrows. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. Matthew 24:8-13.

“But recall the former days in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great struggle with sufferings: partly while you were made a spectacle both by reproaches and tribulations, and partly while you became companions of those who were so treated; for you had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven. Hebrews 10:32-34. At times He tests our patience and or helps us to achieve patience. God will never give you patience, but will certainly bring you to it through trials.

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” James 1:2-4″Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. Hebrews 10:34-36.

“Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy. James 5 : 7-11.

“Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children, but she had an Egyptian maidservant named Hagar; so she said to Abram, The LORD has kept me from having children. Go, sleep with my maidservant; perhaps I can build a family through her. Abram agreed to what Sarai said. Genesis 16:1-2. See what happens when we do not have patience? We do it all wrong because we do it according to our human understanding of man I am tired of waiting! We are going to have to wait through some very tough times which are coming and we must be prepared.

“He waited for seven days, the time set by Samuel; but Samuel did not come to Gilgal, and Saul’s men began to scatter. So he said, bring me the burnt offering and the fellowship offerings. And Saul offered up the burnt offering. Just as he finished making the offering, Samuel arrived, and Saul went out to greet him. What have you done asked Samuel? Saul replied, When I saw that the men were scattering, and that you did not come at the set time, and that the Philistines were assembling at Michmash, I thought, ’Now the Philistines will come down against me at Gilgal, and I have not sought the LORD’s favour.’ So I felt compelled to offer the burnt offering. You acted foolishly, Samuel said. You have not kept the command the LORD your God gave you; if you had, he would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time. But now your kingdom will not endure; the LORD has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him leader of his people, because you have not kept the LORD’s command. ” 1 Samuel 13:8-14.

Remembering is a job of the Holy Spirit. He helps us to remember what we read days weeks, even months ago, to be able to put it all together for greater understanding. The whole bible without man’s understanding explains itself quite well. In fact it makes no sense what so ever if you merely read some of it and leave some out. You must have a complete education to graduate from elementary school, high school, and college. It is the same with the word of God. God’s word is complete and it will bring you through everything that is coming, but you must understand that you cannot go sinning as though you are not saved. What difference is there between you and the world if you go on sinning?

Jesus after healing people told them go and sin no more, and then explained that the demons come back with more demons, who are worse than they are, than before they were cast out, in Matthew 12:45. Believing a lie is as bad as telling a lie. When we choose to believe a lie it is because the truth hurts too much, and so many are believing a whole lot of lies. But in my personal opinion, hurtful truth is the very best kind of truth, because it always grows you. Friends when we are going through the hellish ordeal of the tribulation you have got to put your trust in the Lord to see you through it all. His strength His endurance, His peace His joy are the things that will see us through it all. He shows you when you put your trust in Him just why it is such a fabulous idea to do it. I know personally I do not trust my own strength nor my own abilities to face such hardship. But having the Lord seeing me through, I am ready!!

We are still so not pure or chaste neither have we been through enough to make us believe we do not need to go through trials and the tribulation. If you want to be called sons and daughters of the Lord then we need to go through tough mind blowing trials and tribulation. Remember Peter said he who suffers in the flesh ceases from sin. Expect it and know you can have the Lord help you to endure.

Blessings of understanding I pray for all those who read this Lord. I pray eyes are opened and ears hear what the Holy Spirit would have them hear and see, in Jesus name, amen.
Love in Christ Jesus, Tammy
