Just As It Was In The Day Of Noah, and Lot

posted by PrayerWarrior

In Matthew 24 The Lord Jesus speaks of the times of Noah, and the end being just like that, yet people disregard Jesus words and pass it off like it is some sort of nothingness. Shouldn’t we as His own believe the Lord above all? In Luke 17 Jesus says just as it was in the days of Lot so shall it be when He returns. Don’t people notice the truth of the word of God, when the Lord our God in the form of the Son, speaks to us? Why would anyone think the Lord has changed? Why would the lord do anything different in a different time if the Lord our God is never changing?

Let’s take a look first, at the Genesis account of Noah and then Lot. Let’s see what happened and when it all happened so that we may inform ourselves on this important matter. Gen 6:5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Noah Pleases God
9 This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. 10 And Noah begot three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. 11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. 13 And God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 14 Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch.

15 And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. 16 You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks. 17 And behold, I Myself am bringing floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life; everything that is on the earth shall die. 18 But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the ark—you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.

19 And of every living thing of all flesh you shall bring two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. 20 Of the birds after their kind, of animals after their kind, and of every creeping thing of the earth after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive. 21 And you shall take for yourself of all food that is eaten, and you shall gather it to yourself; and it shall be food for you and for them.” 22 Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did.

Gen 7:1 Then the Lord said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation. 2 You shall take with you seven each of every clean animal, a male and his female; two each of animals that are unclean, a male and his female; 3 also seven each of birds of the air, male and female, to keep the species alive on the face of all the earth. 4 For after seven more days I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and I will destroy from the face of the earth all living things that I have made.” 5 And Noah did according to all that the Lord commanded him. 6 Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters were on the earth.

7 So Noah, with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives, went into the ark because of the waters of the flood. 8 Of clean animals, of animals that are unclean, of birds, and of everything that creeps on the earth, 9 two by two they went into the ark to Noah, male and female, as God had commanded Noah. 10 And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood were on the earth. 11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. 12 And the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.

Now look at that on the seventh day Noah entered the ark, on that DAY the flood waters came and the fountains of the great deep were opened up! This is so very important to pay attention to that is why I made the word day all in capitals. Let’s look at it a little more with the next set of verses. 13 On the very same day Noah and Noah’s sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark— 14 they and every beast after its kind, all cattle after their kind, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, every bird of every sort. 15 And they went into the ark to Noah, two by two, of all flesh in which is the breath of life. 16 So those that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him; and the Lord shut him in.

17 Now the flood was on the earth forty days. The waters increased and lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the earth. 18 The waters prevailed and greatly increased on the earth, and the ark moved about on the surface of the waters. 19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth, and all the high hills under the whole heaven were covered. 20 The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward, and the mountains were covered. 21 And all flesh died that moved on the earth: birds and cattle and beasts and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man.

22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, all that was on the dry land, died. 23 So He destroyed all living things which were on the face of the ground: both man and cattle, creeping thing and bird of the air. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark remained alive. 24 And the waters prevailed on the earth one hundred and fifty days.

Now the Lord Jesus said in Matthew 24:37-39 37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the (“day”) that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. So the Lord is telling us on the very same day that Noah and his family entered the ark the protection of the Lord, or his snatching them out of harms way, was the very same day His wrath was poured out on the unbelievers and evil men. Not 7 years later, not even a day later, but on the very same day that Noah and his family were shut into the ark, the wrath was poured out.

Let’s also now look at the Genesis account of Lot’s story. Gen 19:15 When the morning dawned, the angels urged Lot to hurry, saying, “Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumed in the punishment of the city.” 16 And while he lingered, the men took hold of his hand, his wife’s hand, and the hands of his two daughters, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city. 17 So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.”

18 Then Lot said to them, “Please, no, my lords! 19 Indeed now, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have increased your mercy which you have shown me by saving my life; but I cannot escape to the mountains, lest some evil overtake me and I die. 20 See now, this city is near enough to flee to, and it is a little one; please let me escape there (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.” 21 And he said to him, “See, I have favored you concerning this thing also, in that I will not overthrow this city for which you have spoken. 22 Hurry, escape there. For I cannot do anything until you arrive there.”

23 The sun had risen upon the earth when Lot entered Zoar. 24 Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens. 25 So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground. 26 But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. 27 And Abraham went early in the morning to the place where he had stood before the Lord. 28 Then he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain; and he saw, and behold, the smoke of the land which went up like the smoke of a furnace. 29 And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when He overthrew the cities in which Lot had dwelt.

Now again we see that on the very same day that Lot left Sodom and Gomorrah, that was when the angels who went to save Lot, were able to destroy the two cities of filth and dishonor. People love to lie to themselves and think that this Sodom and Gomorrah were not destroyed due to their gay ways, but that is why it is called sodomy, because it was first done there in Sodom and Gomorrah. They wanted to have sex with the angels. Though God is the one who rained down fire and brimstone from heaven.

Now let’s take a look at what Jesus had to say about Lot, and when the wrath of God was poured out on Sodom and Gomorrah also. Luke 17:28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 (“but on the day”) that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. Over and over again we see that the day of the Lord is one day. It is only one day and one day only.

Look in Zechariah 14:7 (“It shall be one day”) Which is known to the Lord— Neither day nor night.
But at evening time it shall happen That it will be light. People again convince themselves of all sorts of errors. It really is a very strange and sad thing to notice how often people will mislead themselves even to be able to believe the lies of men. The sad truth is this, many people will stand before the lord on the second judgment after the millennial kingdom, and will be told I never knew you depart from me you who are iniquity, Matt 7:21-23.

If we do not know the truth of the Lord our God by His word, then we do not know the Lord, and He does not know us! Please make sure you are not believing lies of satan, passed onto you by men who are deceived by satan themselves. We must at all times be like the Bereans in Acts 17:11. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

The word will either prove out the truth or the lies. But the word itself must be searched. I do not mean, read one verse no no. I mean you must search out the concept and the meaning of the verse used. I mean read two verses before the verse used, and two after the verse used to capture what the Lord means. 9 times out of ten your going to find the truth of the matter. Unless of course you want to see the lies of men and satan. Then you will somehow convince yourself that you see what the liars are saying, written in the word.

To sum up this message, what I can clearly see here is this, The very same day that God takes up the dead in Christ, and those who are alive and made into immortal perfect incorruptible flesh, is the same day that His wrath will be poured out, through Jesus Christ!! He pointedly gave me these verses the other morning as I was waking up. It was important enough to him to give me these verses and understanding’s not that I need them but that some out there need them to see and hear the truth from the Lord and His word, which is Jesus Christ!

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. Jesus was God and is still God!

Lot Was A Righteous Man!

posted by PrayerWarrior

You know it vexes me no end that people think Lot was saved only to please Abraham. Lot was a righteous man we are told in Peter. Lot did not partake of the immorality of Sodom and Gomorrah. He was vexed by their sins and their disgusting way of life. So He lived among the heathen and the depraved, we do too! Look here is the meaning of vex = [veks] verb 1.to irritate; annoy; provoke: His noisy neighbors often vexed him. 2.to torment; trouble; distress; plague; worry: Lack of money vexes many. 3.to discuss or debate (a subject, question, etc.) with vigor or at great length: to vex a question endlessly without agreeing. 4.to disturb by motion; stir up; toss about. 5.to afflict with physical pain.

I imagine Lot standing in the door way of his house looking at all going on in and around the town he lived in, shaking his head in consternation, much like we ourselves do at all that is going on around us.. Look he was a business man he was wealthy and prosperous. And what does anyone care where their money comes from? Being a business owner, I do not care if the people who patronize my business are sinners or saved, I will take all their money for services rendered. Of course I enjoy those people who are the Lords and who come and visit, but they are treated no differently than anyone else. Besides which, I never know whose mind might be changed from sinner to saint, by my loving them.

Let’s just reason together and study the life of Lot, in Genesis it does not say too much, but let’s see what the Lord would show us, and have us know. Gen 12:4-5 4 So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. 5 Then Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they came to the land of Canaan. (So let’s then look at this, the Lord told Abram to leave his fathers land and go to the land the Lord would show him. He took lot with him. Does not say anything as of yet about righteous or not.)

Abram at this time was coming upon the land of Egypt and knowing his wife Sarai was stunningly beautiful he was sure that the king or the men of Egypt, would have him killed to take his wife as their own. Abram lied, Yet Abram was righteous! Think of David and his adultery, as well as then having the man killed to hide his perfidy, yet the Lord called him (David) a man after the Lords own heart. You sin I sin we all sin, but the difference is we ask forgiveness. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone, you can’t and neither can I.

Gen 13:1-4 Then Abram went up from Egypt, he and his wife and all that he had, and Lot with him, to the South.2 Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold. 3 And he went on his journey from the South as far as Bethel, to the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Ai, 4 to the place of the altar which he had made there at first. And there Abram called on the name of the Lord. 5-7 Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks and herds and tents. 6 Now the land was not able to support them, that they might dwell together, for their possessions were so great that they could not dwell together. 7 And there was strife between the herdsmen of Abram’s livestock and the herdsmen of Lot’s livestock. The Canaanites and the Perizzites then dwelt in the land. So there was strife between abrams men and Lot’s but none between Abram and Lot, they reasoned together to work this out no anger no hard feelings.

Gen 13:8 So Abram said to Lot, “Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren. 9 Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me. If you take the left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left.” 10 And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar. 11 Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other. 12 Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent even as far as Sodom. 13 But the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinful against the Lord. (Still though it mentions that the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked, still no mention of Lot being a sinner or anything of the sort.)

Gen 14 speaks of Lot being kidnapped and held prisoner, and Abram goes and rescues Lot. Still no mention at all of Lot being bad, as a matter of fact the kings that won this war against Sodom and Gomorrah took all of Lot’s goods live stock and everything he owned.11 Then they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their provisions, and went their way.12 They also took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed. 14:14 Now when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his three hundred and eighteen trained servants who were born in his own house, and went in pursuit as far as Dan. 15 He divided his forces against them by night, and he and his servants attacked them and pursued them as far as Hobah, which is north of Damascus. 16 So he brought back all the goods, and also brought back his brother Lot and his goods, as well as the women and the people.

Look at that huh? Abram had 318 trained servants, not soldiers and they defeated the 5 kingsand all their men, who had just won out against four kings. NICE! Nothing more is mentioned of Lot for a little while till chapter 19. In chapter 18 the Lord who had just visited with Abraham was thinking within Himself that He would and should share with Abraham that He was there on a mission to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. For the wickedness of it was so great, that the cries coming from within it, reached heaven. I do honestly believe it was the Holy Spirit visiting with Abraham for we know men cannot live upon seeing the Lord our God. Chapter 19 is where we see Lot mentioned again.let’s then read the story and see if you can see where Lot might have shown himself to be a wicked and or sin filled man.

Gen 19:1-4 Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them,he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground. 2 And he said, “Here now, my lords, please turn in to your servant’s house and spend the night, and wash your feet; then you may rise early and go on your way.”And they said, “No, but we will spend the night in the open square.” 3 But he insisted strongly; so they turned in to him and entered his house. Then he made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate. 4 Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. 5 And they called to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally.” Lot then offers his two daughters up instead of the Lord’s host.

This was not a sin it makes no mention of Lot being a sinner or doing anything wrong he was making a major and bold offer. Though I am sure he did hope in his heart, these disgusting vile men would not accept this offer. Would we not do something similar in order to protect these which we knew were glowing glorious beings from the Lord? Let’s go on. 6 So Lot went out to them through the doorway, shut the door behind him, 7 and said, “Please, my brethren, do not do so wickedly! 8 See now, I have two daughters who have not known a man; please, let me bring them out to you, and you may do to them as you wish; only do nothing to these men, since this is the reason they have come under the shadow of my roof.” (Not to mention there was no law as of yet. Morals were inbred in people and if they acted against that then it was sin. The Lord built us with morals from the beginning.)

9 And they said, “Stand back!” Then they said, “This one came in to stay here, and he keeps acting as a judge; now we will deal worse with you than with them.” (They called Lot a judgmental jerk in essence in these verses. They then wanted to do some serious damage to Lot, but the angels who were there struck those men blind after ripping Lot into the house with them. Lot was sure he was doing right by the Lord and the Lord certainly did more than right in His dealings with Lot.) So they pressed hard against the man Lot, and came near to break down the door. 10 But the men reached out their hands and pulled Lot into the house with them, and shut the door. 11 And they struck the men who were at the doorway of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they became weary trying to find the door.

12 Then the men said to Lot, “Have you anyone else here? Son-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whomever you have in the city—take them out of this place! 13 For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the Lord, and the Lord has sent us to destroy it.”14 So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said, “Get up, get out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city!” But to his sons-in-law he seemed to be joking. 15 When the morning dawned, the angels urged Lot to hurry, saying, “Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumed in the punishment of the city.” 16 And while he lingered, the men took hold of his hand, his wife’s hand, and the hands of his two daughters, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city. I can only guess that Lot was thinking of all he owned as well as his other daughters and everything going to be utterly and completely lost to him, which is why the angels had to actually grab his hand and pull him into action.

17 So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.” 18 Then Lot said to them, “Please, no, my lords! For I cannot do anything until you arrive there.” (Here now is where it get’s interesting. The Lord would not ever save an unrighteous man. He never has before.)

She must have looked back with longing for her life that she was leaving behind, not to mention her children who were going to be destroyed due to their lack of trusting their father and or father in-law. The fact that Lot’s wife was disobedient to what she was told straight up, do not look back, cannot be missed in this as well. Disobedience is death brothers and sisters. To fool yourselves into believing that God does not expect perfect obedience is pure folly on anyone’s part. Jesus mentions something to this effect in Luke 14:33, So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

(Now here is where people get all self righteous and hypocritical is in the rest of Lot’s story. In chapter 19 we see what became of Lot and his two daughters.) 30 Then Lot went up out of Zoar and dwelt in the mountains, and his two daughters were with him; for he was afraid to dwell in Zoar. And he and his two daughters dwelt in a cave. 31 Now the firstborn said to the younger, “Our father is old, and there is no man on the earth to come in to us as is the custom of all the earth. So they devised a plan. This was not Lot’s plan, and nowhere does it say that He sinned or did anything against the Lord.

32 Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve the lineage of our father.” 33 So they made their father drink wine that night. (Now think on this for a moment, the man had lost all he had everything he owned he was now poor and destitute, his wife became a pillar of salt.He lost his other children, this is how his daughters would have been able to have him drink wine. I can only imagine they were cajoling, come father no more crying just drink some wine to make you forget for a little while that you may rest.) And the firstborn went in and lay with her father, and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose.34 It happened on the next day that the firstborn said to the younger, “Indeed I lay with my father last night; let us make him drink wine tonight also, and you go in and lie with him, that we may preserve the lineage of our father.”35 Then they made their father drink wine that night also. And the younger arose and lay with him, and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose. He had no clue what happened. And though I do not want to sound like a broken record there were no laws at that time. How could Lot be breaking laws if there wre none?

Another fact I want to bring up is this, Abraham married his half sister. Same father different mother.19:36 Thus both the daughters of Lot were with child by their father. 37 The firstborn bore a son and called his name Moab; he is the father of the Moabites to this day. 38 And the younger, she also bore a son and called his name Ben-Ammi; he is the father of the people of Ammon to this day. If anyone sinned in this it was the two daughters. They produced sons both of them who became rulers and their ancestors still to this day rule the lands they had taken as their own. (Ammon is the capitol city of Jordan in our modern day, and Moab is also in Jordan. Now think on these verses by Peter whom the Holy Spirit filled with knowledge and wisdom, as well as remembrance for all that Jesus told the Apostles.)

2 Peter 2:4-11 For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; 5 and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; 6 and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; 7 and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked 8 (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)—9 then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, 10 and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries, 11 whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord. Let’s see God did not spare anyone who was immoral and unrighteous. No God will not ever save anyone for anyone else’s sake.

This clearly spells out if you are not living for the Lord, working your best for Him, and trying with all you have not to sin, you are doomed! The angels who are so much higher than we are I mean they are in the very presence of God Himself were not spared for their siding with satan, what makes you lowly human think he will spare you? Grace sets us free from bondage of sin but if you go back to it you have re-enslaved yourself. Your name will be blotted out of the book. Lot was a righteous man to say he was not and the Lord saved him anyway is pure garbage and has no part of it in the truth. God will not ever esteem any man above Himself. God knows us better than we know ourselves, and knows humans only see what He has found it good to show them. Now you will not lose your salvation if you repent of your sins, but repentance is an ongoing thing through out our lives. The Holy Spirit will clearly show us what we are doing wrong, he will sear your conscience, to bring you to the realization that this is not acceptable. It is when you just keep sinning and vex the Holy Spirit that you will once for all time lose your salvation.

God knows us as I said, better than we know ourselves, you cannot fool the Lord. When I am having a hard time with something then I cry out to the Lord, help me see Lord the error that is causing me to put doors in between us, and He does. We must continually as long as we sin ask forgiveness. Nothing with the Lord is taken for granted though He knows your thoughts and will most times answer before you ask, He still expects you to ask. It is the same with forgiveness, you must always ask for it no matter how much you have sinned, or how little it is always best as Jesus said, to ask forgiveness when He told the disciples of the perfect prayer that was one of the things He said was good to pray. In Fact He quantifies that part in the verse right after the perfect prayer, Look here at Matthew 6 verses 9-15.

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Then you can also look at the parable of the servant who was forgiven his debts and then went out and gave hell to one who owed him. Then all he had was taken from him and he was thrown into prison, never to be forgiven again, Matthew 18:21-35. Look people when thinking to yourself is this sin or not well all you have to do is compare it to love, does love think this, does love look at this, does love feel this, does love do this? If the answer is no then if you do it that is sin. Love is now what we measure sin against. Let’s not forget love covers a multitude of sin. 1 Peter 4:8.

If you love you will not cheat, steal, lie, be jealous of, you will not kill, nor blaspheme, you will not spread around rumors or gossip. As the time get’s closer and closer for the tribulation we are going to find loving so much the harder, we will be vexed like Lot was on all sides. We are all vexed as it is, and it is just going to get worse and worse, if we lose the Love we have lost the salvation, given it up, passed it out of our grasp or understanding. We must measure our every thought word and deed by the measure of love. If love would not do it then you had better not do it either. Lot would have been persecuted to death had the angels not grabbed him out of that angry mob. They were horribly angry with Lot because he judged them all the time, they said it not me! Lot was a righteous man, He loved the Lord so much that he was willing to sacrifice his two daughters to the men of S&G, in order to save the messengers of God. He recognized their perfection and bowed low to them as did Abraham. Sinners do not recognize that, and would not bow humbly down before the workers of the Lord. We are now in what can be called the pre tribulation period. Do not be surprised at the painful ordeals we are going to go through, and even expect and praise the Lord for the trials He will bring on you before the tribulation, to build you into a fruitful child of God.

Do not look to your brother sister friend, mother father, nor your spouse to help you understand what comes upon us all. The relationship between you and the Lord is a very personal one. In fact you can call it a customized relationship, because the Lord knows how to speak to you, to help you understand in the very best way. He has preparation in mind for you. It is all in His word and then there is the outside of the bible knowledge that He pours upon your heart that let’s you know what is coming. He is so faithful and so worthy of praise and honor. When you trust Him in anything, He will show you over and over again why it is good to trust in Him. To believe that Lot was not righteous and the Lord saved Him anyway, I have to ask what God is it you believe in? Because the God of the bible has never and will never save someone who is not righteous. Let me help ingrain this thought in your mind. He sent a piece of Himself to this earth to live as a man, He humbled Himself in the form of a man and came to this earth to save us and bring us back to Himself.

He sent Jesus to die and when Jesus was in process of dying for our sins, taking our place, paying the price of it, God the Father, turned away from His own son, His own self, that is how much He can not look upon sin. He sent Himself the piece of His human self, to hell to pay the price for becoming sin, but Jesus was victorious and was raised from the dead, taking the keys of hell with Him to have dominion over it forever more. If He did not spare Jesus in becoming our sin, why would He spare you?

Lot, Noah And The End Of The Age

posted by PrayerWarrior

Disclaimer: Even though there is plenty in this article about homosexuality,I want to make it clear to my readers. I do not endorse, nor condemn homosexuality. It is not my place to judge nor to decide if someone is, or is not worthy of God’s love. God loves each and every one of us with a love we cannot even come close to fathoming. He loves murderers, gay and lesbian, thieves, pastors, just every day average folks, all the same.

In Luke 17 The Lord tells us that things in the times of the end of the age, would be just like the times of Noah, and the flood. As well as the same way they were in Lot’s time, before the Lord utterly destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. Evil was rampant on the earth,in those times. God said that the thoughts of men were only evil all of the time, and that man must be destroyed. The Lord was very upset within Himself that He had even made man.

That in itself is just horrifying to me, that God was so upset He felt that He should not have even made man. But let’s take a look at what was going on in Noah’s time, then we will also look at Lot’s times. We will compare those times to the time we live in right now.

And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Son of Man: they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the Ark and the flood came and destroyed them all.It was the same as happened in the days of Lot..

Luke 17:26,27 26 “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27 People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.

4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. 5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 The LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.
So there was rampant sin on the earth. There was evil so corrupt it made God hurt to His heart that He had made man. The Nephilim which were half man half fallen angel were very evil. The fallen angels were teaching humans all kinds of things the Lord did not want them to know. They were learning things at great speed. We here now, in this time are learning so fast we cannot even keep up with the new technology. Ask any computer tech and they will tell you, it is a constant of being schooled in the latest and greatest technology.

The angels were not supposed to leave their allotted station as spiritual beings. Yet they did. Those angels are now in hell in chains awaiting the special judgment just for them, for their disobedience to the Lords commands for them. This is found in the book of Jude, verse 6 . And angels who did not keep (care for, guard, and hold to) their own first place of power but abandoned their proper dwelling place–these He has reserved in custody in eternal chains (bonds) under the thick gloom of utter darkness until the judgment and doom of the great day.Amplified bible.

The book of Enoch though not one of the books of the bible ,was adhered to by Jewish people for centuries, explains all of this really well. That the fallen angels took on the form of man and had their way with the women of the earth the daughters of man. They taught them many things which the Lord was not willing that the people should know at those times.

We know in the time that we are living in,there is evil a plenty among us,all around us. There is evil on every corner, just waiting to pounce. There is rampant homosexuality, pedophilia, rapes and murders. There is even something called ( and this makes me ill) bestiality, that is a strange lust to be sure. Bestiality is sex with animals. There is abortion, all over the place, and for no other reason than it is inconvenient for the mother to be.

Gen 7 The LORD said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.9 These are the records of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God. God will again blot out man. Leaving a mere ten percent of humans whom He will hide away in the very end, of the end of the age time. The reason for the ten percent being left is to recreate the people on the earth during the millennial Kingdom.

LOT
Luke 17:28-33 28 “It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed. 31 On that day no one who is on the housetop, with possessions inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything. 32 Remember Lot’s wife! 33 Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it.

Jude verse 7 [The wicked are sentenced to suffer] just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the adjacent towns–which likewise gave themselves over to impurity and indulged in unnatural vice and sensual perversity–are laid out [in plain sight] as an exhibit of perpetual punishment [to warn] of everlasting fire.
Unnatural = 1.contrary to the laws or course of nature. 2.at variance with the character or nature of a person, animal, or plant.
3.at variance with what is normal or to be expected: the unnatural atmosphere of the place.

Vice = 1.an immoral or evil habit or practice.
2.immoral conduct; depraved or degrading behavior: a life of vice.
3.sexual immorality, especially prostitution.

The people were engaging in perverse pleasures, unnatural vices in the open where every one could see and partake, if they so chose. There were even children engaging in such perverse acts, which will be explained further in this article.

The most common response to the question “What was the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah?” is that it was homosexuality. That is how the term “sodomy” came to be used to refer to anal sex between two men, whether consensual or forced. Clearly, homosexuality was part of why God destroyed the two cities. The men of Sodom and Gomorrah wanted to perform homosexual gang rape on the two angels (who were disguised as men). At the same time, it is not biblical to say that homosexuality was the only reason why God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.

Ezekiel 16:49-50 declares, “Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. They were haughty and did detestable things before me…” The Hebrew word translated “detestable” refers to something that is morally disgusting and is the exact same word used in Leviticus 18:22 that refers to homosexuality as an “abomination.” Similarly, Jude 7 declares, “…Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion.” So, again, while homosexuality was not the only sin the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah indulged in, it does appear to be the primary reason for the destruction of the cities.

Those who try to explain away the biblical condemnations of homosexuality claim that the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah was inhospitality. The men of Sodom and Gomorrah were certainly being inhospitable. There is probably nothing more inhospitable than homosexual gang rape. But to say God completely destroyed two cities and all their inhabitants for being inhospitable seriously misses the point. While Sodom and Gomorrah were guilty of many other sins, homosexuality was the reason God poured fiery sulfur on the cities, completely destroying them and all of their inhabitants. To this day, the area where Sodom and Gomorrah were located remains a desolate wasteland. Sodom and Gomorrah serve as a powerful example of how God feels about sin in general, and homosexuality specifically.

Our Times
Today we have sin in all it’s forms all around us. It is getting so that i do not read signs anymore,as I drive down the road. Due to the explicit ads everywhere. I was remarking to my husband today as we drove along look at this look at that man it is pretty disgusting around the world these days. Not only that but the world at large is heating up and chaos is now on it’s way to all parts of the world, coming to an area near you very soon.

Here is the ten commandments and let’s see how many of them are now being looked past.
Exodus 20:2-17 NKJV
1 “I am the Lord your God, you shall have no other gods before Me.
2 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My Commandments.
3 “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

4 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

5 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
6 “You shall not murder.
7 “You shall not commit adultery.
8 “You shall not steal.
9 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
10 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

Too many, even Christians, have a different god than the biblical God. They have created the god who suits them and their needs. They do not pay attention to the word of God which God assures us is how we get to know Him.
There are idols all over the world of peoples gods. These are not even real gods they are sticks wood and stone. Those are graven images. The Lords name is taken in vain all over the place all over the tv, and in person you hear all the time, people calling out the name of the Lord in swears and just all the time. It is disgusting and He will hold them accountable for it.

Hardly anyone anywhere keeps the Sabbath as holy any more. The sabbath is not Sunday. It is the seventh day which is and always has been Saturday.Honor your father and mother, that one is so seriously not adhered to these days. Kids and even adults alike do not honor their parents. They are the first ones to point out the flaws of their parents.

Murder is every where. There is murder for hire, murderous rages, mass murder, hatred all over the place. Jesus said if you hate someone, it as good as if you murdered them in your heart. Adultery is so bad it is treated as if it is not even a problem these days. Some people these days even commit adultery with their spouses consent. Orgies and such things going on. Jesus said if you lust after someone of the opposite sex it is as good as having committed adultery already. Lust is the ad seller. They use sexual innuendo to sell everything!!

Thievery is also rampant. There are thieves and robbers all over the place. It is getting even worse, and I suspect it will keep getting worse as people begin to starve and go hungry for lack of money, food, and gas. People have lost their jobs, and are now running out of unemployment benefits. The government is saying the unemployment rate has dropped, but if anything it has increased people.

They do not count any longer, those who have exhausted their unemployment benefits as unemployed. Those people are not counted in the unemployment rates. It is lies we are being told. Which takes us to our next sin. Lying is everywhere. It is so bad that you cannot even begin to know what is truth or what is lies according to everyone. Truth is no longer absolute in this world,it is according to liberals, relative. Truth is relative to everyone else. Meaning truth is truth according to ones own beliefs. What a load of garbage that is!

Covetousness is actually jealousy to the point of,people saying within themselves, well how come they have this that or the other thing and I don’t? Why should this person have this life when i don’t? Our government is now actually promoting covetousness. They think it is their job to share the wealth. To basically be some kind of modern day Robin Hood. They want to take people who have worked their tails off to get where they are,and bring them down to a lower level of wealth, so they can take their hard earned money and give it to some sleazy schlep who has never worked a day for it.

Yes our world is not a lovely place any more. We are assured evil would walk among men again in the end times, and it is evident in every moment of our lives. But people here is a warning. It is not half as bad as it is going to be. Often times I have heard folks speak of the old bible times and say they wished they could have been alive in those times. Well grab onto your suspenders and hold on cause here we go. Your going to be alive for the most amazing things to occur as have never occurred before in the history of the world.
May God Bless and watch over you and yours, may He strengthen you all, and may you all find joy in the preparation for the times coming.
We are commanded to love one another as we love the Lord,I am working hard at this particular command,I pray that you all do too.
Love in Christ,Tammy
