The writer means that we are to leave them and proceed further with our discussion of the Christian salvation. However, in the light of the statements in Chapter Two through Five, it also is true that we should press past them in actual practice and seek to enter the rest of God.

They had been enlightened.

They had tasted the heavenly gift.

They had been made partakers of the Holy Spirit.

Numerous Christian teachers have attempted to prove that once a person has made a genuine of belief in Jesus he can never be removed from the grace of God. Their position is based on a concept of grace as a sovereign action of God unrelated to man’s response.

The premise that redemption is an abstract Divine act that does not depend on human response is one of the deadliest, most subtle of all the errors that have corrupted Christian thinking. The Divine redemption, from beginning to completion, is an opportunity. The believer can choose to pursue the continuing revelation of God’s grace or can, after having begun, ignore and neglect the further challenges and demands.

The Christian walk is a way of faith, a way of righteousness. Whenever a believer ceases to press forward in faith he stands in danger of falling back into spiritual death. Satan never ceases his attempts to deceive the Christian away from the path of light.

The believer who, after repeated admonitions of the Lord, does not begin to bear the fruit of righteousness, will be cut out of the Vine, out of Christ.

Thesis of the Book of Hebrews is that we will be made a partaker of Christ on the condition that we press forward to the land of promise, to the rest of God, to the fullness of our inheritance in Christ. Hebrews was written to experienced disciples who now were losing their fervency.

The expression “If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance” must be interpreted in the light of the whole Book of Hebrews. It appears that these seasoned Christians were beginning to neglect their salvation and were not pressing into the rest of God, the perfection of salvation that is the mark of maturity.

The spiritual forces that govern the earth are so powerful, the currents so strong and swift, that is not press forward is to be swept backward. The experienced saint who loses the white heat of fervency slowly but surely loses ground. Satan works slowly and unremittingly. Before many years have past the believer who once had been a prophet of God is now living in the flesh. His spiritual life is dying.

Whether he would be able in this condition to rekindle his love for Jesus is questionable. We have known of a man in this condition. What at one time had been a vibrant Christian was now a shell of a man, sick, terrified that he had sinned away his day of grace. Our counsel to him was to sit in church every time the doors opened and hope that God would have mercy on him and give him the grace to repent and pray.

Our relationship to the Lamb of God is that of Bride to Bridegroom. We may stumble a few times, in which instances the Lord will pick us up so we may continue our journey toward His palace. But if we fall away, spurning His love, there may come a day when He loses interest in us.

We know of the parable of the prodigal son and the blessing this has been to countless sinners who have come to themselves and returned to Father’s house.

We know also of a faithless Israel who sinned until there no longer was a remedy and they lost the Glory that had been theirs. Twenty-five hundred years later they still are trying to retain control of their land and their holy city.

If we neglect our salvation we will not escape punishment and severe loss of inheritance–if not something worse!

11. What kind of ground does God bless?

That which drinks the rain that comes on it and brings forth crops fit for those for whom it has been tilled.

12. What is true of ground that brings forth thorns and thistles?

It is rejected. It is near a curse. It will be burned in the end.

13. What are some of the things that “accompany salvation”?

Love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, and a pressing forward in the Spirit each day toward the fullness of the inheritance that is in Christ.

If these “things” are not accompanying our Christian experience, then salvation is not occurring. Faith apart from such works of righteousness is dead.

14. What was God remembering concerning the Hebrew Christians?

Their work and labor of love in serving the saints.

Evidently these Jewish saints were hospitable toward the traveling ministries, and were doing all that they could to assist Christians who were in need.

15. How can we make ourselves sure of our hope of salvation?

By being diligent in the work of the Kingdom of God, by following and imitating the believers who through faith and patience are becoming heirs of the promises of God that are in Christ.

Notice that our hope must be made sure. We inherit the rest of God, the land of promise, only as we respond to God’s salvation with faith and patience. Salvation is not an arbitrary Divine action; rather, it is an opportunity to regain what was lost in Eden. God has given Jesus to us to help us drive Satan from our inheritance. Jesus helps us and guides us in every detail. But we must obey Him at each moment or the process ceases.

Prayer is not merely asking God to give us what we desire. Prayer is the way in which we enter the program of redemption, seeking the Lord’s will, and receiving strength and guidance so His will may be done in our life.

16. By whom did God swear, when He made His promise to Abraham concerning Abraham’s descendants?

By Himself because there is no one greater to swear by.

17. What trait of character was Abraham required to exercise in order to inherit the promises that God had made to him?

Patience.

18. Why did God confirm His promise with an oath?

So the heirs of the promise would be convinced of the unchanging nature of God’s intention.

19. What two “immutable” (unchangeable) things give us strong “consolation” (encouragement)?

God’s promise plus the oath that confirms the promise.

20. What is the “hope ” of the Christian pilgrim?

That his soul will be saved (Hebrews 10:39) and that he will inherit the fullness of the blessing promised to the descendants of Abraham.

21. Where is our soul anchored?

In the Most Holy place behind the veil, being fastened there by our hope.

22. Who made a place for us behind the holy veil?

The Lord Jesus, our eternal High Priest of the order of Melchizedek.
Hebrews through out, assures us that since the Jews who were rescued from Egypt and still complained and moaned and railed against God and even after seeing the miracles the Lord performed over the forty year wilderness experience,lost their inheritance,that we surely can too. Also I want to point out something that is often over looked.
The angels who fell with satan can never be returned to the Lord,or gain eternity in heaven ever again. If the angels who are above us, we being just a bit lower than they are in our being, can never regain their standing with God,then how does one expect that it would be any different for us? If we turn away from God after tasting being in and walking in the Holy Spirit,how and why would He give us another chance?

I have to say I do not care about being right for myself,no I care about you all getting this right so that when the multitude of tribulation comes to you,you will not turn away thinking you are forever safe. What a terrible thing it would be for you who has been running the race thus far to give up just before the finish line,and lose all the gain you made. To stand before Christ and have Him say depart from me you who are iniquity I never knew you.

I will finish with this from Hebrews 10:26-31, 26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay, and again, “The Lord will judge his people”. 31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Hebrews in it’s entirety explains as well that the old covenant laws of Moses have been done away with that the new covenant with Christ as that covenant obliterates the law from having to be observed outside of ourselves. Meaning He wrote those laws on our heart and the Holy Spirit as long as we keep in fellowship and growing,helps us in every way to not transgress.There is no more need for sacrificing for sins just repentance. If you sin and you do it one willingly and two without feeling the need for forgiveness then you are in danger of hell fire.
To this writer and reader,these verses these chapters in Hebrews explains thoroughly we can give up our salvation.

I have been thinking. I keep getting all these emails, sign this petition sign that petition.These are from Christian groups all over the place.I cannot help but wonder,why are Christians,in essence, fighting against God? His plans. God said all of this was going to come about. His word says this was all going to happen. The prophecy scholars all talk about the end times,we are in those end times. The bible says there will be famine ,wheat would cost a days wage for one person.earth quakes,crazy storms. Signs all around us.There is coming a time very soon where it is going to cost us outrageous money for a loaf of bread.Inflation they said is coming and very soon.

Now the governments of the world are talking about one world currency,and there are Christians who are freaking out about this. They want us to fight against it all. It reminds me of when Jesus told Peter in Matthew 16:23 But hHe turned and said unto Peter,Get thee behind me, satan:thou art an offense to me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God,but thous savourest those that be of man. In the paraphrased bible it says it like this,Jesus turned on peter and said,get away from me you satan,you are a dangerous trap to me.You are thinking merely from a human point of view,and not from God’s.

What could Jesus have meant by that, thinking in human ways not God’s? Well to me that says Jesus is saying, your messing with God’s plan here. You cannot see the bigger picture. God’s plans must come to fruition, the exact way He said they would. People God always has His way! The plans were laid out long before we came along, and they will be going along in the same vein without us here. We are not going to change God’s way of thinking. Nor His plans. Everything must come about exactly how God said they would. So our lamenting and complaining and fighting,is not going to change God. Nor His plan.

There is going to come about this one world currency. Then the one world government is going to come about. Man some people are going to freak out at that, for sure. There is nothing we are going to say do, or fight about with (people we are supposed to love and set an example for btw)
Governments,as well as people who are false teachers that is going to stop it from happening. Evil is setting it’s tenterhooks into the world and going in deep for the kill. They have been setting the whole end times in motion for about 61 years now,actually quite a while longer than that. Evil had his plan as far back as the garden of eden. But now when Israel became it’s own country and government,admittedly heavily tied with America,thats when satan really started setting up his plan for the doom of the earth he is going to take it over and have us worship him above God. Or so he thinks.

He will not get this Christian. Praise God! he wont get any of us Christians who know God’s word and His plans for us. No matter what we will face, we are already victorious. The word was spoken, and it will go forth, come what may. God’s plan has been written since before the foundations of the earth were laid. We all know when God speaks,no matter what man woman, or child thinks of His plan,He knows best what to do, and will do it.Stop putting what you think should happen,before what God says will happen. The thing I have learned best about prophecy is, You have no clue how exactly it is going to all play out. That is where faith comes into the picture. Knowing God will do what He has said He would do. Knowing He has fabulous plans for you, His very strong knowledgeable Christian. He is going to make us shine like the light in the end times.

Then there is going to necessitate a one world religion. Since all the people on earth are united in every way, money wise and government wise,we all need to have the same beliefs. People will not be free to have their own thoughts, religion, or anything we are used to. Well here in America anyway. There are plenty of countries that do not want the people thinking for themselves. Unfortunately America is going down that same path, or so it would appear.Thats all you hear now a days,is how the government wants to take away our freedoms. Well I have news for you all,God said this was going to happen,and guess what? It is happening.Your signing petitions is not going to net you results. Your holding up signs in the streets are not going to get you anything but noticed in the wrong way.

Our job people is to love no matter what just love love love one another. Loving people means, being a shining example of God’s love for people and His grace at work through us. If the world sees Christians pointing fingers everywhere, and standing in the streets protesting, what good are you doing God? What kind of example is that of Christian love? We are simply and easily enough just supposed to love people every people in the world. Hate evil but love the people who have evil that lives in them. Those are some seriously hurting people right there. The world is cruel, but God is love. He loves every person on earth equally saved or not. He does not love you mister or misses Christian anymore than he loves the murderer on death row. He loves us all. There is forgiveness for every man woman and child, no matter what they have done wrong. Just remember in the words of Paul we were all at one time sinners lost in our sin. Do you think your lying to your wife or kids, is any less of a sin, than is murder?

In Gods eyes all sin is wrong. He is soooo HOLY!!!! (shout that word, holy,makes you feel good doesn’t it? Back to what I was saying. God is so Holy he cannot look upon sin. Sinner it is not that He does not love you, it is that you do not know Him,and your sin cannot be looked upon by God. If and or when you repent,really sobbing repentance at the knowledge of who you used to be,thats right,who you used to be,God has just made you a brand new clean baby. Sinless set free from the bondage of sin. Set free from blindness to God. He reveals Himself to you in that very moment. Then,you are no longer a sinner in His eyes. When you have repented of your sin as well as asking jesus into your heart to rein supreme over your life,God sees you clearly and beautifully. He has taken your sin and thrown it as far away as He could (which, I can only imagine is very far, since God is humongous) Never to look upon those sins again.

Do you take and re-member your past? Let’s think about re membering here for a moment. Re is like putting together again,and member a part of an animal body. When God forgets your sins He does not remember them,he does not put back together your sins and look upon them. He threw them away. If your having problems forgetting your sin and moving forward from them,just know this,it is you who keeps putting those thoughts back together again. Remember means to retain in the memory; keep in mind; remain aware of: God does not do that. He remembers you in only the best most beautiful straight up birght Jesus light. Because He called you and gave you to his son. He made you a bridal party participant.A part of Jesus Bride. We are God’s gift to Jesus. I love being a gift to my Jesus. He became the gift for us. He took on our sin and became sin, for us so we could be His prize. Alls one has to do is agree learn and understand all about Jesus,know He is sent of God. He lived a perfect and sinless life,and then died like a common criminal for you. So that when you accept His gift of life, you then become His gift.The Bible says, “Your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you” (Isaiah 59:2). See He cannot look upon sin.

Jesus cherishes each and every Gift God gives Him. He is so good to us always entreating the father on our behalf. Thats why we end our prayers in Jesus name,because Jesus is our go between. What I am saying is this You and I are not victims of God, we are sinners against God. The Bible says, “All have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory” (Romans 3:23). Our consciences tell us plainly that we have not even lived up to our own standards, let alone God’s. Jesus did not intrude himself between us and God. He didn’t jump in to wrestle God away from us against God’s will. God put Jesus between us and himself. “For God so loved the world that he GAVE his only begotten Son, that whoever believes on him might have everlasting life” (John 3:16). The Go-between was God’s idea. He took the initiative to make a way for sinners to come to him through Jesus. God does not lose his cool. He is not impulsive or rash or reckless. He is perfectly righteous and unswervingly just and infinitely holy and pure. He never plays fast and loose with truth or with virtue. He upholds his law with unimpeachable equity and integrity. No shady deals. No bribery. No skeletons in the closet. “God is light and in him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5).

See what I am saying? God does not mess around,what He says He does. No question about it.What I am saying here is this,do not fight the Lord and or His plans for the world,it wont work. Embrace God’s plan and get strong in the Lord. Put on His whole armor which can be found in His word in Ephesians. Walk the Romans road. Live with Him guiding your every step from the inside. Trust Him to know what He is doing. Trust Him with your very life. He has nothing but great plans for you. The thing is ,we do not wait for that beautiful perfect relationship with the Lord. We can live it right now.We must start living it now,tomorrow may be too late.The Lord wants to pour blessing upon blessing and grace to grace on you and your life already.We do not have to be in Heaven to have that perfect relationship with our creator,we can have it right here on earth. All the while knowing, eternity is going to be, even greater than our wildest dreams could ever come up with. Knowing He is working us into perfection all along the way.

God’s plans will work out to His specifications, right to the last verse in the bible.He does not need your help, nor want it.Other than loving one another and leading more souls through that very deep loving of people, all people,to the Lord’s kingdom ,there is no job that God needs or wants man kind to try their hand at..Simply put, God sees all,He knows all from beginning to end.He sees evil at work and knows all their plans. We already have this victory won. Jesus won it all. It’s like this ,so it is written so it is done! The bible is not lying to us in anyway.Everything God said in His word will happen,and your going to just frustrate yourself in trying to fight against Gods plans. Pray always for guidance and for the salvation of every person we come into contact with. Live your life do not try to live anyone else’s life for them. In other words don’t judge people that is not your job. Just love them. Even if you cannot love them to the Lord, just love them. Jesus said in Matthew 5:44″But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you”(NIV)

Just Love one another. Just pray for God’s strength on your own life. Yes by all means pray for the people of the world. Pray for what you wish to happen in this world, and God will do as he sees fit to do.Don’t make us Christians look like fools by being in the streets with signs in your hands.Or signing petition after petition. Do not send angry letters to your governmental officials.Just pray and love, and lead by example, the people of the world to the Lord.Christians are not fighters we are lovers.

I pray Father whomever happens to read this will be impacted. I pray Lord that if one reads this who does not know you,that you will reach out and touch their hearts Father.I pray you will call their name Lord and reveal yourself to them.I pray Lord that those who are hurting and fearing over the things about to take place,will come to absolute peace in their hearts about what you have said is going to happen will happen. I pray Father for assurance for those who are hurting Lord,that they can find perfect peace and rest in the midst of trials and fears and worries. I pray for strength for them Lord. Strength to withstand all that is about to come to fruition.
I praise you Lord that I know my strength is not my own but yours,and I thank you for that strength.I ask you all of this, in the matchless name of Jesus,Amen.

Things are heating up, the world over my friends.
It is amazing to me,as well as exciting to me to see things God said would happen happening. We have wars and rumors of wars all over the place. India and Pakistan aligning their men.  Africa a normal hot bed of war like actions, by many in many of its countries. Israel,and Palestinians. Once again it pains me to see everyone coming against Israel and condemning her yes disgusting condemning Israel for defending themselves!!!!??? I mean I am saying that with amazed squeakiness in my voice. Incredulity. If this were any other country that has been bombed over four hundred times since Dec 19th the world would have been wondering why the country being attacked, did not fight back. I mean come on People Puhhhhhleasssssse.

We were hit by terrorists wielding planes as their weapons, and we went full scale war not long after with Afghanistan, and another country as well. Oh yeah man, I am rooting for Israel to kick some butt. It is amazing to me, that the rest of the world has no problem with Israel getting bombed daily and their lives being interrupted, days weeks and months at a time. By rockets hitting their neighborhoods. But the minute they pick up their arms and go on the defensive, the whole Arab world is going hog wild about it? Protests going on all over the place, and in the whole world as well. Why was it no one had a problem with Israel being hit? I will tell you why, because we are in the last times. God said the whole world would come against Israel, and there you have it, it is happening.

Israel the burdensome stone. Jerusalem will be a cup of trembling and a burdensome stone for all the nations in the End Times (Zech. 12:2–3) The funny thing is not many had even an interest in Israeli land before Israel became her own country once more. In 1948 there were small pockets of palestinians living here and there in what had been Israel, Gods covenant lands for his people. The apple of his eye. Once the Jewish peoples came home to their lands, That God wanted them to go back to. Then the whole world suddenly stood up and took notice. This can only be described as satanized (<<<if thats even a word) anger. Satan is quite angry that all that God said he would do, he is doing. Satan must be terrified because his time is coming to an end, and coming quickly. What a difference when Israel recaptured the Old City in 1967. Within months, the old slum was cleared away from the Wall, a grand plaza was established, and hundreds to thousands of people began gathering there daily to pray and worship the God of Abraham and Moses. Things were looking lovely for Israel. That is a hard working people.

There was a video put out not so long ago called weeds. It was one minute and 45 seconds long. It showed the Dome of the Rock back in 1882 or somewhere around that time, with weeds all over it and all around it. No signs of life in that Dome of the rock either. Then it was shown as of 1911 and still loads of weeds and no sign of life not at all not at any time. In 1924 still weeds all over the place no sign of life. This is the second of the Muslims holiest sites huh? Baloney!!
Why  for hundreds of years, would  these supposedly super religious folks, abandon one of their holiest sites? Makes no sense to me. The Jewish people have their heritage as well as their religion, as well as their nationality as Jewish. They have a wall they are faithful to visit and maintain. There are no weeds at that wall.

What other religion, nationality, community have you ever heard of who has maintained, no matter how far from their own land, no matter how disrupted from their religious practices, would maintain their religion, heritage, or nationality? Yes the Israelis no matter where they were living, maintained every drop of it. Even if since Jesus came it is redundant. Jesus came and fulfilled the laws. He is the fulfillment of sacrifice, and blood atonement. It is just too bad that the Jews have been blinded until such a time as God shows them and leaves no doubt in their minds that, Jesus is the messiah. The one they pierced. People there are going to be some crazy awesome miracles occurring very very soon.

The palestinians wanted Gaza for themselves. They wanted no part of Israel in anyway. Yet they still were expecting Israel to keep feeding them housing them and furnishing their electricity. They have been bombing Israel all this time because Israel has blocked them from all of these things. Why would Israel want to keep supporting people who one, want their land, and two who keep bombing them like mad? Does it make sense? No way no how. When someone wants something from someone, the last thing you want to do is anger them and hurt them. Peace cannot come to these two very different set’s of people. I do not Blame Israel for not wanting to work a peace deal. Besides to segregate themselves is just plain dumb. To give up their inheritance from God himself is just plain stupid, and if they did that they would suffer horrendously.

Every time they have signed something that looks like a cease fire Israel has abided by it to their own detriment. The other sides have not abided by their own deals. As well as the fact that every time Israel has signed onto these supposed deals for peace or cease fires, They have suffered more than the last time. The Arabs and or Palestinians see this as a weakness on the part of the Israelis. I think what Israel is doing is just the right recipe for them to finish this madness once and for all. I really am praying very hard that they do go in on a ground offensive. I am also praying that the innocents do not lose life or limb. There is also a difference between the way the Jews war and everyone else. The Jews are warning civilians to get out of harms way. I pray also that the Lord will lead them, that He will be their forward soldier and rear guard.

As far as the rest of the world goes, everyone but the USA is against Israel with a few minor exceptions. It just makes me say yupper good is evil and evil is good in our world today. Truly if it were any other country I do not imagine the world would think it so wrong for a country to defend itself and it’s people. I really believe it is just satan angering all the Arab world against Israel. And whats the deal with Russia’s major issues with Israel? where have they really ever fit into this scenario? No where thats where. The bible said this was all going to come about and voila here we are, it is upon us. Turkey is also condemning Israel for it’s defense of it’s people and lands. With the Word of the Lord telling us it is just going to get worse and worse as we go along. We need not fear any of this, God’s people Jesus own washed in his blood. The Lord says He protects His own and thats what He will do.

Psalm 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
Psalm 91:11-12 ,11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
See the Lord is not going to let anything befall us that he will not protect us in.
No matter what the economy says, no matter what we face, we know God is Jehovah Jireh, God our provider. He will provide for all our needs. He does provide for us all things. I hope you all who read this are very thankful at all times to God our provider. For without Him we are nothing and can do nothing in and of ourselves. Looks to me like 2009 is going to be a crazy year. How exciting, how scary to some. This world needs our prayers soooo much. Let us pray continually, yes without ceasing. Pray for our president to be, that God will call his name and show him truth. Pray for every government in the world. Pray for all those people you wish to see saved. Ask God always to call their names. People pray for all things at all times. Prayer takes no more time than a simple thought. God is always tuned in and always on it. Whatever “it” might be. Trust the Lord your God trust and obey Him always.

Consider Isaiah 40:28-31 “Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Oh God is soooooooooo good.
