God is “LOVE”

posted by PrayerWarrior

God is “LOVE”I have learned something wonderful from my awesome pastor, Jeff Knight that we are to Love one another, not judge one another just love one another. I found a wonderful little message on love, and thought I will share it with some people who should, being Christians, know how to love, without judging one another and or adding words to their mouths that have never been uttered nor written.Though in Matthew 18:15-16 it says you should rebuke a brother/sister if they tresspass aginst you, God does not want us putting one another down at every sentence they utter nor judge them day and night. Last I read in my bible judgement is up to God. As I was told if it is not a salvation issue then why sweat it? If there has been no tresspass against you, then why are you judging that particular person and thinking they cannot possibley be saved? Where does one brother or sister get the right to tell another brother or sister, they had better get down on their knees and seek Gods forgiveness right this instant? In Hebrews 10:24 it says, And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds. We are to Exhort one another, we are to look one upon another, brother or sister, as if they are so much better than we are.

Ephesians 4:1 – I, therefore, the prisoner of Yahushua, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 – with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 – endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. I know i am faithful to this particular verse.John 15:12, 13. 12This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Luke 10: 27And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.1 Thessalonians 5:12-18 is very practical, and it spells out for us, what the will of God is for our lives. The will of God consists of many things such as respecting those in authority over us, living in peace with one another, encouraging, helping and being patient with others, not taking revenge, being kind to everyone and remaining joyful, prayerful and thankful. Verse 18 then concludes

for this is Gods will for you in Christ Jesus. Psalms 133:1 – Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2 – It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aarons beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; 3 – As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there YAHWEH commanded the blessing, even life for evermore. 1Thessalonians 4:9 – But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of YAHWEH to love one another.Hebrews 10:23 – Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 – And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 – not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

1Peter 3:8 – Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; 9 – not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

The most famous biblical chapter on love is from 1 Corinthians:If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:1-13)

Christians are not to talk behind each others backs,it is not loving people in Christ, to talk about the petty things you hold against a brother or sister. It does not make for good clean loving one of another. If you are talking about a brother or sister to another, when not expressley asked to, it makes people hurt, and most often there is the entrance for satan to come in and make waves and anger. Why Christian would you do that to yourself, or to one you profess to love? I myself have been guilty of this in the past. I did myself no favors by doing it,and a great disservice to good people. We should all be, more worried about our own walk with the Lord, than we are consumed with anyones elses walk with the Lord.

I was told the other night that basically I need to know my role. I do know my role as a child of God, and a washed clean, redeemed human being. I am charged with Loving, and The Lord had blessed my heart with a great capacity to love. Also I am charged with pointing as many to the Lord as I can, and that job is given to us because we are to LOVE everyone enough to care about their eternal soul.

Whose life have you hurt, due to your not loving them, as the Lord tells you to? We Christians especially need to treat each other with great love, as Paul tells us in 1st Corinthians 13.

We are parts of the same body, with Jesus as the head of us.in Ephesians 1:22-23 “And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” We do not hurt ourselves do we? If we hurt one part of the body of Christ,(i.e brothers and sisters) then we are hurting ourselves as well. We are to act as one, do unto each other as we would have done to us, and just love each other.Love in Christ jesus Prayer Warrior/Tammy
